Independent Medical Advice

Independent Medical Examination

If you are a patient and not a medical professional, understanding the information genetared in an IME (Independant Medical Examination) can be difficult. Therefore, we have you return for a Review of Findings appointment where we explain to you in laymans terms what we have found. If you have a therapist, we will provide them with this information as well.

We have all heard of going to a lawyer for advice and/or information regarding an important legal matter so that you can make an informed decision about what legal direction to take.

Here at the Whiplash and Injury Clinic, we offer Independant Medical Advice regarding your current medical situation pertaining to your whiplash injury. With this service we can look at your complete incident/collision history, x-rays, scans, relevant correspondence and give you advice based on the whole picture.

If you are confused on what direction to go with your medical care, or you are fed up with no-result therapy, or you are wondering if you have reached the point of considering settlement but are not quite sure, we're here to provide you with injury and prognosis information and help guide you toward results-based care and results-based decision making.

Independent Medical Examination - for medical professionals

Independent Medical Examination

The Independent Medical Exam (IME) includes a thorough injury questionnaire, physical examination of injured areas and any correlated areas of possible involvement, and finally, but most importantly, Dynamic Motion Imaging of the affected area.

If you are a medical professional and have examined your patient or have already outsourced this IME examination once or more, but yet your patient continues to have symptoms and complaints that do not add up to the current opinion or knowledge you have on their injury, we aim to provide that through our unique IME.

Cold pack - First help with pain

Ice is one of the simplest, safest and most effective self care techniques for injury, pain or discomfort in muscles and joints

During an initial injury, tissue damage can cause uncontrolled swelling. This swelling can increase the damage of the initial injury and delay the healing.

If you use ice immediately within the first 48 hours, you can reduce the healing time by up to 80%

When you visit us at the Whiplash and Injury Clinic, ask about our Cold Packs. Our gel-filled Cold Packs are made of the most durable materials. It is a silky nylon/pvc material that is smooth against the skin.
